Toucans

Description:

Two toucans snuggle on top of a polished granite pedestal. This piece is placed outside the entrance to the hospital’s birthing room wing. The chiseled surface of the birds’ bodies makes one think they are separate pieces from the polished pedestal, but, in fact, the birds and pedestal are all one piece of granite. The beaks and eyes are also polished.
